My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 7 months now, and we really love each other. He is in the Army and when he goes home to Wisconsin for visits he seems to ignore me. He hangs out with his family and mostly his friends when he goes home. He treats me differently.

When I go back to visit Wisconsin, with my wife, I include her in all of the family activities and I introduce her to my friends. Talk to him and let him know that you need to at least meet his family and friends if you are going to have any future together. It could also be that he is afraid that you will not like his family and friends or vice versa.

7 months is not very long! I am in the Army! I miss everyone every min. of the day! He may very well be bizzzy....He misses everything! And he is trying to get everything done at once! Let him know youe'r needs! Call and be suportive and be who you are! But I would guess in 7 more months...you will be seeing a new boy!

If you haven't talked to him about how it makes you feel, you really should. Keep in mind that people act differantly around certain people. Definatly the case if your away from home and then go visit. I take it you don't live near his family or friends. Best thing with any situation like this is just to talk about it. Dont' fight about it, just let him know you feel your treated differantly.

Has he been active duty oversees? If so I have read about soldiers who have a hard time adjusting when they are home and "aren't themselves" as a bit of a coping mechanism. IF he hasn't been I would say you might want to re-evaluate your relationship. Talk to him - is this what he expected - where does he see it going or is it not what he wants? Better to know now then be trapped in a relationship that isn't going anywhere.

Seems to me that if he loved you that much he would still put you first, even back home or should I say especially at home.
