Some people are really smart and hardly need to study at all. The rest of us need to hit the books.

Definitely study. I was one of those smart people that pulled off a perfect GPA in high school while barely ever cracking a book and I had a nearly perfect SAT score. I got a full ride scholarship to a very well known university. After one semester I lost my scholarship and I nearly failed out after two because being smart just wasn't enough anymore and I didn't know how to study. Learn how to study effectively early, even if you don't really "need" to. You will be much better off in the long run.

I agree that a degree of preparation is necessary, "naturally smart" people have the advantage of understanding faster, but knowledge retention can be acquired through review. Also our brains go through cycles, called brain cycles, in which the brain uses time of inactivity to help information sink in. So yes, study but in moderation, craming the night before is a bad idea... this is the only instance where "naturally smart" people have an advantage in learning.

Studing can make you as smart as those who were born more intellectual. so for the ones that don't need to study to get an A good for them but if you need to study to get an A then Study. My Friend is a super human computer at math and i suck at math but i'm good at lit and he sucks and he has very little common sense. And though i struggle in math i still get an A and he doesn't have to struggle and gets an a so studing does work it jus takes more effort.

STUDY!
the naturally smart people actually do worse in school because they think they dont need to do the work, and that they will do fine anyways.
when they get into high school the work load gets too much and it catches up with them.
so definatley study...the kids who get the best marks are the ones who spend hours STUDYING!

It works when you study. There are smart people who fail tests because they didn't study the required material needed to pass it. And there are people with average I.Q.s who have studied and done better on tests than 'naturally' smarter people. Preparation is key.

there are people who are naturally smart, even if they don't study they tend to get the highest scores. but it also works when u study, even if you're not that bright, it helps that u learn the logic of things even though it won't come naturally to you

it depends on what aspect of life you're talking about. If you're still in school, you must study... but if we're talking about THE real life... it's good to have a combination of both.

I graduated from one of the top colleges in my country, i wasn't a very good student, my professors were so happy to see me leave...lol... i had friends who were so good in their classes but couldn't seem to translate it into the real world... they're what you call book smart... I also have some friends who were never really good in school...but they did better...

For me personally, life is a learning process... up until you die, you're still learning...Being intelligent, isn't all about books...or just using what they call street smarts... Being intelligent, is knowing that you don't know anything and admitting it...

studying works a lot better than smart
the harder stuff is the more that is true.
some people won't have to study as much to do well in school
but once it's college theywill have to study to succeed, too.
