I need to send a request to a site for a purchase. They send me the form and I mail them the money and they send the product. Is it wise I send cash through the mail? I don't have any other payment options.

Get money order so you have proof that you paid for it. They are sold at post offices and stationary stores and other places.

No; it's NEVER wise to send cash through the mail! There is no way to track it if it gets lost or stolen--or the recipient "claims" it wasn't there/wasn't all there in the package/letter when they got it.

Payment by check or money order (you can get those at the bank or post office) is the better way to go. Credit card works too. Or, worst case, use an online payment method such as PayPal.

No legit business is going to require you to send cash, anyhow. I'd be pretty wary if that's the only form of payment they'll accept!

Absolutely not. You should never send cash in the mail. Have you considered going to a bank or a money mart to purchase a money order or send a certified check? You have to pay for them, but it is well worth it, because they are insured against loss to a certain extent. If someone is asking for cash in the mail as opposed to another payment method, you're getting scammed, bottom line.

Good luck!

Never send cash through the mail. Go to the post office and get a money order. Still not the best way but at least a little safer than sending cash.

Why not get a pre-paid debit card? www.allowcard.com

It is not wise to send cash through the mail. If you don't have a checking account, go to your grocery store and get a money order. Mail can be tampered with and lost. If you send cash, there is no way of recovering it.

everyone has another option but I think it very very unwise to send money through the mail at all. You can send a money order It used to be a dollar for one that can be a max of 500 dollars but it has changed now. If you have a bank you go to at all you can ask for one you can also go to a gas station that sells them as well. I think the Post offices have them as well but I am not sure.

absolutely not!!!!!! NEVER take a chance and send cash through the mail. most legit companies TELL YOU NOT to send cash via mail. if you dont have any other payment options, give the cash to ur parents and have them write a check or make the payment with their atm or credit card.

no cash should be sent thru the mail. better off using a prepaid debit card. Money Orders are only 49 cents at walmart and Post Office Money Orders are very reliable.

I can't beleive there are no other payment options. You are foolish if you even consider sending cash through the mail.

On top of that, it soulds like someone is trying to run a scam of you. You sent them cash - they have your money. And they send you - - nothing.

NEVER send cash. It won't make it there. Your other option is to buy a money order. You can buy them for a dollar or so at any gas station or grocery store.
