yes, the afternoon naps are a waste of time, but a good afternoon nap gives you a better physical condition afterward. for some busy people, they never take a afternoon nap (except weekends), like my uncle, he's doing stock business, noon and afternoon are the good times for him to make money :)

I thought that when I first had my son. People kept telling me to rest, but I didn't. Now he is 6 months old, and I got the opportunity to take a nap earlier this week and it was like the greatest thing. I still feel refreshed just thinking about it...

Definitely not a waste of time.
If you are tired take a nap. Afterwards you can enjoy the rest of the day instead of wasting it complaining about how tired you are.
So Sleep when you need to. Your body knows best!

Actually no that's not true. If a nap is less than 45 minutes in duration, it can rejeuvenate you and make you sharper. Anything longer than that , is rem sleep and that slows you down.

No. 30 - 45 min lap, helps, more activity later. To give rest to body, and to gain more metabolism..But 1 hour or more nap will give negative results.

Most people bottom out in the afternoon because there body is low in sugar. So a quick snack of dried fruit, fresh fruit, or a fruit juice will help.

If you sleep an hour in the afternoon, a deep sleep hour, you can actually feel like you have two days in one!
