Alright i figure out my problems for my Inequalities math problemes and here are my answers. What i need help on is how to graph them.. like would the be on the left or right side of the number line? like could some one explain to me how would i graph these.. thanks so much if anyone could help me..

1. x>2 or x< underline -7
2. x< underline 3 or x>4
3. -3 4. 2 5. -9

For example....

X>2 means all values LARGER than 2. You put a ( mark right at 2, and put the line to the right.

The reason behind this is, ( means the number but not including the number itself. As you go to the right, you increase in positive numbers. LARGER than 2 does not include 2 itself.

If you see X > 2 but there is an underline under >, you put [ mark right at two and do the same. [ means the number including the number itself.

If you see something like 2 < x < 4, think of it as two formulas in one. 2 < x and x < 4. It means x is larger than 2 but smaller than 4. More simply stated, x is between 2 and 4, but excluding 2 and 4. You would use ( and ) for markers.

Of course < means smaller so if you see x < 2, you go to the left....

I always thought < and > are very graphically self-explanatory. Seeing X < 2 tells me 2 is larger than x because the "mouth" of the < is larger on 2. That means, conversely, X is smaller than 2. Get it?

First draw a x-axis and mark the points from -10 to +10
mark the points like for x>2 mark x=2 and > sign implies the region on Right hand side for the same. and x

when they have the > you use a dotted line when its just graph the points and connect them using the lines above
