I bought a few polo shirts, and I need to iron them, but I'm afraid they'll shrink - Will they?

Wash in cold water and hang to dry if you have the time. Iron on a medium heat. The shirts should not shrink if you do this. Also, using starch will help hold the texture of the cotton.

No, they won't shrink with the iron. In fact if you moisten them and use a steam iron, tugging on them while ironing will actually stretch them a bit.

Go ahead and iron with moisture, either by misting them or using a steam iron, just be gentle, no tugging. They'll be fine. the spray starch or sizing makes them look extra crisp....if that's what you want.

Read the label on the shirt. "Care information" means something.
