I agree with someone else who mentioned MAC. At the same time you said you like experimenting and part of the fun in that is doing it on your own. If you want a more natural look 1st apply a tinted moisturizer or sheer foundation. Than you can use a concealer to hide any spots or blemishes you might have. Using concealer after foundation will generally make you use less and thus look natural. You can also apply a powder foundation, the loose ones always seem to blend in better to me. Next apply blush, the cream blushes blend in easily and don't give you that obvious blush line. Apply some clear or nude gloss or even plain old chapstick. Finally your eyes, If you use eyeliner only on the top of you lid it will make your eyes pop but it won't be as noticeable. I would use whatever eyeshadows you want to. As long as your lips and cheeks aren't overly done your eyes will be fine with a dramatic effect. I would exaggerate whatever asset it is you have.

ok you don't want to put on more makeup than the average whore first off. so experiment with putting on nutral looking makeup. It does't have to be so nutral that no one can tell your wearing it, but just not a lot so people talk behind your back. If your darker skinned than wear a lighter blush. for eyes, i like putting a thin line of eyeliner on my eyelid and then a pinkish tan eyeshadow on. Thats what i wear most days, but i do like to experiment sometimes. I put on dark blue towards the bottom of my eyelid, while putting a lighter, babyish blue towards the top. I've gotten many compliments Makeup is about what makes you feel pretty, and what makes you not look trashy. Or you could experiment with smokey eyes, but just don't put a lot on. Hope that helps.

I LOVE makeup, but when I had my 2 kids, my time for experimentation got severely cut! I went and talked to a girl at M.A.C. that helped me get an everyday, 5 minute, no-fuss routine to just even out skin and look fresh.
Then, when I got on date night with the hubs or out to a party, I break the big makeup guns and go all out.
Bottom line--do what makes you feel good and makes you happy with yourself. Someone who wants to be with you will get on board, trust me. Don't forget to have FUN.

Go to a department store where they do free makeovers, in the malls. Tell them what you're looking for, light tones, clean fresh looking makeup, they will supply you with the right colors for your complexion, and tell you how to apply it, also how to apply it for day vs night time.

if you want to wear make up because you want to, then you should do it. you shouldn't care what anybody else has to say about it. it doesn't matter if they like it or not. it only matters what you like because they are not the ones who are doing it. i personally think natural beauty is better than wearing make up. but back the the subject, you should do what makes you feel good and not everybody else

If you are unsure about what make up to use...then go to a department store or a store like Sephora, where they will give you a make over...showing you how to do your make up properly.
