Yes I remember very well thier explosive effect upon the music scene.
looked at historically they were in my opinion the popular side of the second major music revolution.The first way back in 1956 with Rock around the Clock heralding the youth music phenominum of the 50s that evolved through the years into the disco era of the 70s.Punk evolved out of the bland tunes of the mid 70s with groups like the Ramones and Patti Smith,taken by the Sex Pistols and thrust upon an unsuspecting public.I can remember very well punks being arrested just for wearing a Sex Pistols T-shirt.
It took me a few years to fully appreciste them but ,now,,,they have pride of place in my collection.

NMTBHCTSP is a good album. Pretty Vacant is a good song but their later stuff was just idiotic. By the end it was clear the whole thing was a money making scam - the Great Rock and Roll Swindle.

If you like the Sex Pistols, you should check out "The Professionals". It was Steve Jones' and Paul Cook's band after the Pistols. Amazing stuff. My favorite Pistols song: Bodies. Do you think they were pro-life, or pro-choice?

Pretty Vacant was the best Pistols song, they changed music before them it was megarich forget your fans pop-stars like Rod and horrid music like the Osmonds, Bay City Rollers, David Cassidy the only hope before them was Bowie.

i didnt like the sex pistols or punk when it all started in 1976 the music was full of hate it wasnt really for me but what ever turns you on man peace!
