Bush is not smart and he is not a true conservative.
Some of them, like Attorney Bruce Fein who serve as Assistant Attorney general in the Ronald Regan administration are very bright people (Mr Fein has called for censure of president Bush over the wiretapping of American citizens)
In recent times, many conservatives have agreed with Bush in gun control, and in his imperialist policies.

MY GOD !!!! What an insult to conservatives to consider that they might not be even as smart as President Bush. On the whole they are not all that bright, but Bush sets the bar (at the low end) where it comes to intelligence.
