tips on volcanoe project?

Living in Washington State, the home of Mt. Saint Helens, what a lot of people observe after the volcano blew was years later how the plants and trees have come back.

The devistation was immense, there was nothing after it blew, now there is a lot of vegation. That could be a good project. What happens to the area after a volcano occurs.

Take some kind of clay make a cone shaped mound with a test tube in the middle and put red and orange or yellow food coloring in it then put in baking soda w/ vineager and it will erupt (its safe) and you can teach to the class about a volcano you did research on eg. Mt Punatubo in the Filipines that erupted in 1991 killing almost a whole town. my friend was a geologist that was ther when it happened.

When she was in the Filipines the first thing she noticed was the sulfur smell and also in the water. kind of like on the movie Dante's Peak (great movie for research) realistic

the animals were acting strange because of the seizmic shift (animals can sense this) the Town not far from Mt Punatubo was infested with snakes. nobody figured out why the animals were running away (not thinking from the volcano) then the ground quaked and then you saw a mushroom like smoke called the pyroclastic clowd which is like atomic bombs that leveled the towns surrounding the erupting volcano. many people died because of not watching the signs. + where Mt Punatubo resides is in a 3rd world country where there is not a lot of technology at least at the year 1991

try 2 get info bout the many famous volcanoes which have devastated many human lives.or if u r good in craft,then u can make a model of the volcano.but it's really easy,all u have to do is make a frustum and then put irregular layers of paper on it so that it shows us the curves of the mountain and color some of the paper on the top near the mouth of the frustum as red.good luck
