Like in gallon wise or does it depend on the shape? I've always thaught 9g and below, but you might think differently.

I would think any type of aquarium that is considered 5-gallons or less.

The terms as applied for saltwater tanks are nano-reef (20 gallons or less) and pico-reef (5 gallons or less). "mini" would probably be equivalent to "pico".
