apparently not many. I asked a question about natural births on here and got nothing but people thinking I was crazy. I plan on having one :)

With my first pregnancy, the dr. decided to induce my labor because we weren't sure if my water had broken and I was past my due date. So I did get to have one shot of demerol. Thank goodness because soon I heard a usually calm dr. exclaim, "Come and help her push this baby out!" The workers actually pushed on my abdomen and a 10 pound 4 ounce beautiful baby girl was delivered vaginally. Since it was my first, I had no idea of what it should feel like. I tell her that is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through with her. She is a wonderful child and will be 20 years old next week. With the second child, the nurses told me to walk around the corridors. When I returned and asked for pain med they told me I was too far along and couldn't receive med. She weighed (only) 8 pounds 10 ounces, but was caught on my cervix. So that was a very painful experience as the doctor had to reach inside and help her out and I had no pain med. She also was definitely worth the extra effort and pain after 15 years.

I never had the chance unfortunately, though I would of loved too. I also have had 4 children and had problems with all of them. I have had 3 Caesars and 1 was born by being induced and had aid of forceps and a vontuse??(Not sure I spelt that right). I have now had my tubes clamped. But still would not be able to have a child naturally If I didn't. This took a lot for me to except but sadly was out of my control.

I had eight of my children without meds. The other two were twins, and they hurt more than any of the others. I'm pregnant with the eleventh, but I'm going to try to go natural again.
I just think there's something cool about saying "I went through all that pain for you". But I certainly don't look down on those who have unnatural births.

Natural, one with a shot of demerol, one without even an asprin.......lol My sister had an epidural and it wouldn't wear off. She was paralyzed from the waist down for several days after she had her baby. That was scary!
