I recommend finding another Rodgers and Hammerstein song from a different show.

If I Loved You from Carousel
People Will Say We're in Love (Laurey's Part) from Oklahoma
Out of my Dreams from Oklahoma
Mr. Snow from Carousel
In My Own Little Corner from Cinderella
The Sound of Music from The Sound of Music

In middle school, I tried out with "I Whistle a Happy Tune" from the play. It's always been a favorite. (I was a soprano in choir.) I won't wish you luck, but break a leg! Just remember to show confidence and do your best, but most of all- HAVE FUN!

"Time To Say Goodbye" by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli comes to mind. SB might be worth researching anyway since she sang in several musicals.

Good luck.
