A few years ago, I found a book about many different supernatural phenomena, and it had something in there about pyramid's. It had instructions as to "How to make you own" cardboard version to test the experiment on your own... it explained that some guy had placed a razor directly under the centre point and found that it got 'sharper' a few days later... (he apparently had one side facing ‘north’…
So, being curious I made a cardboard pyramid - but to make it a fair test, I also made a cardboard cube. Both were the same height (20 centimeters tall), made out of the same type of cardboard and had the same thickness.
Since the book claimed it could 'preserve' food, and sharpen objects - I decided to try putting a flower underneath each model mockup. Directly under the centre point of the pyramid, I put a fresh dandelion there. I did the same with the cube (although it was hard finding the centre point), and just for fun I included a dandelion without a model 'shape'.
I left the pyramid, cube and dandelion by my bedroom window for a few days, one side of each shape facing ‘north’, and by the time I returned to check - it was 6 days later.
I honestly expected to find the whole 'experiment' a load of rubbish, but what I found puzzled me...
The pyramid DID indeed somehow preserve the flower better than the cube. In comparism - the dandelion I had left by the window (without anything over it) had curled and rotted, the dandelion under the cube had rotted too – as for the dandelion under the pyramid… it had barely rotted at all. I don’t know how or why it happened… but my first thought was that I did the experiment wrong – so I repeated the whole thing again, twice to make sure it wasn’t some kind of weird coincidence.
With both experiments that followed, I only got the same results… and even to this day, I’m not sure WHY or HOW it works.

Sometime later, I was informed by a friend that pyramids somehow are able to gather ‘energy’ or something… I didn’t believe her, but she claims that if you go visit a glass pyramid and go stand directly under the centre point, you can feel some sort of weird energy surging through you - from above. *shrugs* Sounds interesting…

Anyway, try it yourself – make a small cube, pyramid and perhaps even another shape, put a fruit or something under it… and see if you get the same results I did…

My father, bless him, has spent about fifty years researching this and other pyramid related questions. He has a rather interesting result from the razor blade studies. His studies suggest that the old, cheap high carbon steel blades made prior to 1975 remain sharp indefinately when stored in a pyramid between uses, but that modern stainless steel blades do not. He has not tested any blades except the standard double edged blades. I have seen pieces of hamburger stored in a pyramid for over five years without developing any foul odor or disintegrating, while the "control" hamburger got mouldy and rancid. Some of the experiments my dad did also show that the pyramid must be aligned with the magnetic north pole to be effective.
Do I believe all this? I remain sceptical, but am open to the possibility that I do not have all the answers. I would not eat the hamburger, but still use the razor blades...

Probably not, but it depends on what sort of pyramid we're talking about. Maybe it's one of those fancy newfangled auto-sharpening pyramids they sell these days. Ya youngins, why do ya need to keep comin up with all this crazy stuff, ya youngins...

Truly I love techcnology and there is no auto-sharpening pyramind, but I don't think a normal pyramid would work. That does't mean it wouldn't. I just doubt it, see.

And I am not old and obnoxious and even most old people don't fit the second part of that. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Well, I experimented with this about 12-13 years ago. I made a cardboard pyramid about 6 inches tall following some instructions from a book. A small platform was made as well upon which things were placed inside.

I also made a control shape - which was a box.

My finding led me to believe that it did indeed work.

Bacon rind dried much faster inside a pyramid than the box and open air.

A shaving razor lasted for approximately 5-6 times longer than normal. "I shaved with all of them"

I'm not kooky, I was just curious, so i did what any inquisitive minded individual would do and found out for myself. Since then I obtained the internet and found whole sites devoted to pyramid power.

I would say take noones word for it, not even mine. If you don't know either way, try it for yourself. Or you could always do as the blinkered sheep do and categorically deny it and dispute it. Don't forget even TV programmes make things up...

I am fairly sure I saw this on a show on the science channel about myths. They tested this myth as well as several others, such as if putting an apple inside of a pyramid would keep it fresh longer than an apple placed outside the pyramid. Pretty much all the myths failed, so I would tend to think this isn't true either. Though it's cool to believe and think it could happen lol

Who the Frak watches the science channel, or myth busters?? More like SKEPTIC STRIKER 309er.
Dont believe half of what you see on them. If the pyramid razor sharpaner didnt work that would surely explain it's patent as well as mass production.

Let's put it this way, it won't get any duller unless you take it out and use it. This scam has been going around for at least 30 years. Save your money and your razor.

You are wasting valuable minutes of your limited time on this earth even considering such nonsense (and I probably shouldn't be wasting my time answering your question)

Pyramids are nothing more than big piles of rock, however impressive they are (and I have actually been to and inside the pyramids at Giza)

Try it and find out .... I have heard of this but if I remember correctly the pyramid and the razor have to be aligned in a particular way.....(Let us know if it works O.K.?)
