I think the media has a big impact on the way society is today. Sex sells. Violence keeps the ratings up. I feel many people have gotten away from traditional values and have become greedy. People lack spirituality and appreciation for what is provided for us on this Earth and want glamor and wealth. Money is root of Evil.

We are born with fallen natures, the result of Adam's sin (be the story allegorical or not). We are inclined to evil and wrongdoing. Only by living for ideals greater than our selfish ego gratification can we overcome humanity's penchant for cruelty. This unfortunately can never happen. We are doomed to repeating history unless Someone saves us from ourselves. But that is a subject for another thread......

Our society is a product of a sin-filled culture. Humans were created as perfect beings in fellowship with God, but when Adam and Eve sinned, they brought a sin curse upon all mankind that infects every single person. Only by restoring that fellowship with God, can a person overcome the bondage of sin & death.

When Adam and Eve ate the apple,we were given the knowledge of good and evil. It has been with us since the beginning of time from the first sin. God didn't want us to ever have this knowledge but Satan deceived Eve and she ate the apple and now we constantly war against evil. Jesus is our hope and our salvation and our protector. "for He shall give His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways"Psalms 91:11. We don't pray to angels but by claiming His word we can mobilize the angels on our behalf.God bless you and yours.

everyone is taught,by who they are raised by and what they are exposed to,alot of people dont know the difference between being a provider and a parent.you have to parent and provide at the same time,you are a product of your environment.

Because that is human nature. It wasn't taught. One could also ask how amazing it is, despite our animalistic drives and urges, that people could work so well together to build and sustain the civilization we have today.
