ELIZABETH,
BY FAR, THE VERY BEST IS MELATONIN 3mg TAKEN 1 HOUR BEFORE BEDTIME. IT'S VERY EFFECTIVE W/O ANY DRUG SIDE EFFECTS LIKE AMBIEN OR LUNESTA. IT'S ALSO IN EXPENSIVE. AT WALGREENS A 240 TAB BOTTLE IS $11.95, AND THIS GOES A LONG WAY. I .USE IT OFTEN

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!
1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.
2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.
The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.
After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net
Ohhh..and Good Luck!

Well you can try eating a big pasta dinner and then go for a good night walk with the dogs if you have some. Then get home and take a nice hot shower. Have a little sex. Make sure he does all of the work. Then also muscle relaxers can make them pass right out also benedril(you are able to take this and be okay). My boyfriend is doing the same thing. Taking lunesta and then still stays up all night long. I gave him one of my muscle relaxers last night and he was out like a light bulb. Good luck!

Make sure you have a quiet relaxing environment. No electrical appliances like TV /Radio in the bedroom, if so remove them. Soft comfortable bed, dark room with good air flow.
Eat before 7 pm at night so that food may digest. If he wakes up between 2-4 am it is usually liver related. Cut down the caffiene, alcohol. Use a biofeedback tape before bedtime, ambient noise etc. No heavy foods at dinner. a brisk walk after dinner and turn off TV 30 minutes before bedtime, don't watch the news that will keep anyone up!! do all to make him relaxed to turn of his brain.

Melatomin is a natural sleep aid, sold at Walgreens or Rite Aid. Take the highest doseage, which I believe is 3mg, he will sleep like a baby and have beautiful colorful dreams. It is also known to reverse cancer. I give it to all of my family members when they can't sleep. I prefer the ones that you stick under your tongue and they dissolve. Cost 15.00-20.00 a bottle of 90

YES! I have the blanket on me and I'm hot. Then I take it off and I'm cold. Repeat about 160 times. I hate it when that happens.

In chinese understanding, when internal harmony is disturbed, the stability of Shen (spirit) inside the heart is infected and insomnia will occur. May be he should learn qi-gong.
