My husband and I are trying to plan our vacation, with our 3 boys ages 10, 9, and 3. We've narrowed it down, and it's between King's Island/Cincinatti Zoo and Six Flags/St Louis Zoo. Can anyone help me out on which would be the better of the two?? Thanks!!

From a park perspective, Kings Island would be a little better in terms of thrill rides.

However, given your circumstances, St. Louis is definitely the better choice, especially if you plan to stay a few days in St. Louis.

Here's why.

1) SF in St. Louis (Eureka) is one of the most moderate of the parks which would fit well with your kids ages.

2) You have the arch there which is a must visit if you've not been there yet

3) Busch stadium to see the Cardinals (if y'all like baseball)

4) St. Louis zoo is a lot of fun! General admission is free!

5) Science Museum is great as well. One of the "hands on" exhibits allows you to build an arch! And yes, general admission is free!

6) St Louis City museum (as already mentioned) is a blast too!

And not to miss,

7) Ted Drewe's world famous "Route 66" is in St. Louis and your kids are gonna love their concretes (frozen custard)! (Here's a couple links about it if you've not heard about it)

Hope that helps make the decision a little easier.

Have fun!

Tough one, but I'd say St Louis. Don't miss the City Museum in St Louie - your kids would love it. The 3 yr old would probably like the butterfly museum near St L. There is also the silly but fun Merimac Caverns. Overall, St L is a better destination for families.

defintely st. louis. take them to the city mueseum. sounds boring. its amazing. your kids will have a blast. basically somebody took a bunch of junk, like litterly junk, put it in an old warehouse and made a huge jungle gym, maze, crawl around in caves and what not on the first floor. second floor as these huge slides to go down and a train and this old fashined acarade. there is an outside to which is awesome. theres this huge amount of stuff like airplanes and schoolbuses 75 ft in the air with connecting tunnels that are completley safe and you can't fall through but you swear you will. there is some more stuff that i forget too.

st. louis zoo is one of the best in the country and its free.

six flags is good, not the best six flags but definatley fun. kids will be thrilled with the roller coasters.

go up in the arch.

they also have a pretty neat science center and planetarium.

how much your willing to spend on tickets is a consideration.
I work for KI and I know that we are probably the cheapest at 44.95 a person for single day general admission. The best place for your boys to play is nick universe and we do have a new coaster debuting on memorial day called firehawk.

hope this helps
