Some female band (or at least with a female lead singer) covered some song from the 70s or 80s about 5 years ago. The cover got lots of airplay - they did it in a kind of soft, female-y way - didn't add a lot to the song from the original. I can't for the life of me remember the song or the band, so if you have any ideas, they are greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for trying - good guesses all. But none is right. I wish I could supply more info. Some female band that did a cover of some song (which I can't remember either) and they kept playing it over and over. Several years prior to the Dxie Chicks doing Stevie Nicks' song. It was an annoying group/song, I thought, like the Crandberries, and an uninsipred cover - how they got a record contract, and why the stations kept playing their song I'll never know. Just can't for the life of me remember any more details. Thanks for all your thoughts though!!

The first thing that came to my mind was the Dixie Chicks cover of "Landslide" originally by Fleetwood Mac.
