The year make and model would help, If your getting a clunk from the rear over bumps there are a few things it could be. The rear shocks/struts may be worn out, there may be loose bolts or worn out bushings. you might want to let a mechanic check it out. If the car/truck is new then you might think of a Lemon Law attorney for some advice. Be safe GOD Bless

The sound might want to be your top stut mount or bushings wiped out, you could examine through going to the nook of the vehicle that looks making the noise and attempt bouncing it if the noise seems then your question is responded.
