I am trying to use more natural cleaning products around the house. What are some uses for all-purpose vinegar?

A mixture of 50/50 water and vinegar is an excellent all purpose cleaner - kitchen counter, linoleum, windows. Add 20 drops of essential oil for a nice scent - lemon, lime, orange, and peppermint are nice. Although, don't use the oil on windows. Also, vinegar breaks down urine, so it's really good for toilets and around the floor around the toilet (thanks guys.)

Also, try club soda - mirrors, anything shiny, carpet stains, clothing stains, glass, inside windows.

1) Remove soap buildup from hair.

2) Remove hard water buildup from sinks, tubs, tea kettle, baby bottle warmer.

3) Stomach settling (mix with a little honey and warm water, use Apple Cider Vinegar)

4) Remove the "slip" from your hands after handling bleach

5) Add to laundry rinse as a natural fabric softener and to remove soap build up.

6) Add to your washing machin an run an "empty wash" once a month to remove buildup in your washing machine.

7) Mix with baking soda and use as a scouring paste for tubs and sinks

These are just a few. Really it's the wonder liquid.

Vinegar is great. I mix it with water in a spray bottle (you can experiment with the mix level, about 30% vinegar, the rest is water) and use it to clean windows, floors, counters, furniture or in the bathroom (especially hard water stains on the taps).

If you mix it with baking soda, it is great for cleaning the bathtub. It is also great for using with baking soda to clear the drain, or use three Alka-Seltzer tablets down the drain followed by a cup of white vinegar - wait a few minutes, then run the hot water. There are limitless uses, but these are the main ones.. good luck.
