There was no national security reason for being there. It's one thing to go somewhere for humanitarian reasons and have the people you're there to help drag bodies through the streets and completely another when a war is being fought to preserve the entire civilization of the west.

Somalia and Haiti were not wars that affected the security of the US. Iraq is. So, Somalia and Haiti come more in the category of volunteerism or philanthropy. But Iraq really affects our future.
