Of course, who the hell wanted a Bush in the white house, after that worthless fool I think we are ready for anything! Do you think a woman could make things worse if she set out to do it, then the brainless wonder we chose?

Hell yes! Some people are never ready for any kind of change but they never will be without being thrown in. I really hope we have a female president next election or a Black president or a Slovenian president. We’ve only had a couple presidents that weren’t Anglo and protestant. It’s not that I think women will necessarily break the status qoa but having a woman in office will help resolve, or progress past, some of this countries issue of inequality.

yep - I think women and other segregated groups are capable of being president. I would even suspect the US citizens would go for the terminator. What is polarizing this country are a few loud mouths with extreme opinions - We all want a leader to button down all those concerns and unite us. That will take a strong personality. An example of my thought is a Giuliani vs. a Bloomberg. I use those two not because of being left or right on their convictions but they are similar in thought and I feel Giuliani is a more dynamic individual. He speaks to the issue - many other candidates speak to the negatives of other people

it better be otherwise it will contradict absolutely everything America stands for. Everything America has accomplished throughout its beloved history, all the wars America has fought to make America what it is today. If a woman or an African American can't be president, then there is truly no rights guaranteed to us in the Constitution. And I disagree with Anne M, obviously a lot of people wanted Bush in the white house otherwise he would have not received sixty percent of the popular vote, even after seeing what he accomplished from the first presidency!

Females have run other countries in the World. America is mature enough to accept a woman President. And what will make it easy for them to decide is looking at what the "man" who is in office now has done.

I'm not sure if the men of America are ready to follow a female President. It would not bother me to vote for one if I had the confidence in her. But as yet....Don't see one running that I would vote for. If your not tough enough to support your president right now and you have to turn coat what would you do if faced with the same problem?

Yes. But one can only hope she doesn't overcompensate for being a woman in a male dominated field
