That's like asking which came first he chicken or the egg. It's one of those questions. The road runners were most likely discovered after doads were built anyways.

There have been roads for a few thousand years at least, they just weren't paved. Perhaps they were still called roadrunners.

No roads would exclude gravel. They're called road runners because they're easy to spot crossing the road. So I'd have to say sand runners?

you guys could be nice about it, it's an honest question. I think that they might not have been around before roads were, roads came pretty early in histroy, and if they were around before roads, then i'd guess no one had a name for them.
I'd guess the cavemen called them: "Oog og" lol :)
maybe Mexicans? LOL :)
