The boy grows up, and lives in a small town. The "bad guy" who hung his dad / brother tries to buy / take over the town to get a railroad through it. It flashes to the bad guy's face a lot through the film, but you dont find out until the end that he had hung the "good guy's" dad / brother. The "good guy" MAY have been played by Ralpf Waite (John Boy Walton's dad in the Waltons), but I'm not sure on this. The only other thing that I remember is that the good guy's friend dies right at the end, as they are leaving. Please help me!! I'm going crazy trying to get the name of this film. Thanks LOADS you lot!!!

Once upon a time in the west. I think it's Charles Bronson is the "boy" always playing a harmonica Henry Fonda is the bad guy who remembers when he dies @ the end "Awesome" It was his brother, Fonda made the older brother stand on bronson's (as a boy) shoulders and hold him up and when the boy stumbled the older bro dies. Fonda sticks a harmonica in the kids mouth and says play some music for your brother

remy got it right. Once Upon a Time in the West.

for some reason, this is one of my favorite westerns. well, actually the reasons are Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda, Jason Robards, Claudia Cardinale, and Ennio Morricone. fantastic acting and a music score that heightens every scene. i actually bought the soundtrack before i bought the movie. that one song is so hauntingly beautiful--i almost cry when i hear it sometimes.

it was really weird but there are different cuts of this film. as i remember, in one cut of the film (i must have seen it four different times at the show), the part about his friend dying (Robards) in the end was not there--his whereabouts at the film's end were very ambiguous.
