Everyone is always suing someone else, or trying to get someone else in trouble. I feel that the adults of America are acting like kintergardenders..they feel like they always have to "rat" someone out. They feel that someone looks at them wrong, it is some kind of racial thing. Someone lights a cigarette and it is SO wrong, but you go and burn leaves, and drive vehicles. You voice your opinon on how you feel illigal immigation from Mexico is wrong, but you voice it, and get your thoughts deleted. Why is it that you can spank your child for calling you a b*tch, (like generations did before) but now its called abuse and you get your child taken away? Why is it you take a picture of your baby in the tub and you automatically get 15 years for "child pornography".

I would like some honest answers. I just dont get why everyone has to be so uptight. Losen up, these things are really not a big deal.

You are absolutely right. People do act like kindergarteners these days. One cannot voice an opinion about illegal immigrants from Mexico because it is "racist," (even though they breed like rabbits, take money from good tax payers, and love to drive drunk all the time). However, the operative word is "illegal." They should not be here. As far as I am concerned, you should raise your child the way youb see fit. I was spanked once when I was a child and I do not have any problems. If you want to take a picture of your cute baby in the bath, that is fine. Who should be charged are the weirdos who find it "sexy." A baby in a bath is not pornographic. People need to grow up. Who knows, maybe even thirty year olds need spankings.

-Stephen Turner wrote a "tongue-in-cheek" creed for the modern day beliefs, which is why our society is turning out the way it is... I think all humanist secularists should be required to memorize their new "Creed".

It's funny how these things really started to flourish once Bibles got pulled from schools. Coincidence? I don't think so.

This country has taken individual rights way to far. It what's going to destroy this country. How can we be the United States if everyone thinks of "me" first?

Everyone points the finger at everyone else. There is no accountability. If I were a judge and someone tried to sue McDonalds for serving a hot cup of coffee that spilled on them, I'd laugh and throw it out of court. It's stuff like that and comments like that first answer that are killing this country.

Everyone has gone politically correct and is stepping on egg shells as to not offend somebody.

But I will say I've taken many pictures of my son in the bath and I never 'automatically' got 15 years in jail. That was a huge exaggeration on your part.

Definaltely agree here. Although about the cigarettes, I don't think it's about if you light up, it's about where. I sure as hell don't want to be around smokers when I'm in the classroom or at work or some other place I HAVE to be.

It sort of depends on where you live for
some of the incidents you mention.
The thing is we can, or try to.

Don't assume we are all like that. Everyone isnt. I know lots of people who are nothing like you describe. Maybe you should get to know more people better.

the incidents you describe are newsworthy because they are unusual. news---tv---exist to sell advertising. advertising is sold when someone attracts your attention. apparently, this has happened...

most of us are depressingly normal---and un-newsworthy.
