I saw the 95 Pittsburgh show. The second set is know as "the Rain set" b/c they played "Rain" by the beatles, "Samba in the rain", "Looks like rain" and "Box of Rain". Big deal right? Well no. It was such a nice day all day, ya know, bright and sunny. Then when they started playing the second set it began to rain. They just continued w/ all the rain songs. IT WAS AWESOME!! What is even cooler is I was only 14!!!!
I have seen the Dead in many incarnations since (i.e The dead, The other ones, Phil and friends w. Bob Weir, etc) but none will ever be as special to me as 06.30.95 was :~)

Unfortunetly, no. Jerry died when I just turned 5, and I didn't exactly listen to the Dead in my toddler years.
I was born in the wrong decade and ended up missing all my favorite music.

yeah, it was the summer of love and me and my old man were out west in San Fran sisco and we were trying to hitch a ride up to Eugene, Oregon for this 2 day love in fest.
So we were hitching and some dude with a VW van picks us up, right? so he takes a turn right before we get to Eugene and we say, "Man, where are you going cuz we got to get up there and catch some 'vrooms before we hook up with some family at the love fest and he says I need to check on my old friend Jerry a minute ... and it was like we were there, Man, for about 3 days with the whole band.....
I can't remember the rest but I ended up in Toledo Ohio
