Are people just cowards who have invented guns and other means to overcome their general inferiority, so that they can prey on helpless innocent animals? As it says in my Bible, every animal has a soul. If it doesn't say that in your Bible, it's time you bought a proper interpretation of the scriptures and threw that out-of-date version in the closest trash pile.

Your question is very thought provoking. The answer
could be yes, but then, I hate guns & love animals.
I believe animals have souls, sometimes I think I can
see their souls in their eyes.

Animals do have souls, depending on their intelligence and place in the order of things, souls being little parts of what we call God. Had God wanted a different arrangement, he would not have made us so crazy about beef, fish, chicken and pork.
You must differentiate between what the body does (with a gun) and what the soul inside feels about it. If I kill a chicken to eat, I am not an evil person. I am just hungry for protein.
Indians, I am told, used to ask the animal's forgiveness for killing it to eat and use. But of course they were more advanced than we are now.

The story of Adam & Eve is a fabrication because when members of the same family propagate, the offspring are always born with genetic defects. Marry your cousin and have children and see what the kids are like. Religion doesn't want to admit it but, there are mistakes in the Bible.

Mother Nature doesn't assign food chain status on the basis of merit; it's a matter of what kind of nutrition you need, and what resources you have to get it.
Most humans are omnivores, some herbivores, and very few pure carnivores. So we are very flexible.

God gave us (human beings) dominion over animals which should be in your Bible too. God also tells us which animals to eat. I for one have no issues in shooting animals for food. I also fully support the second amendment.
