If you want the new verizon wireless unlimited txt/pix/flix messaging plan you will need to change/upgrade your family plan to one of the new ones- this will also increase the term of your contract and the two year plan will end two years from when you upgrade.

Well I looked at the regular family rate plans versus the new family plans with unlimited text to any cell phone number. It seems that the new family plans with unlimited text cost 30 dollars more than the regular family rate plans.

For instance the regular family rate plan (2 lines) for 700 minutes cost $69.99. With the new family rate plan with unlimited text messaging (for 2 lines) cost $99.99.

If you want the unlimited text family plan I suggest calling Verizon and asking if you have to renew your contract if you want this plan otherwise check to see if you can pay extra $30.00 a month for unlimited text messaging with your current family plan.

the old plans have text message sold separately. therefore you would have to change to the new plans and if you have less than one year to go, then your contract will renew to exercise the new promo.

basically, you are paying $30 more upon a family share plan for unlimited. for example, america's choice plan 89.99 (80+9.99) for 1400 minutes.

that rate would change to America's choice SELECT 119.99 (110+9.99) giving each line unlimited messaging for pictures, text, video, and instant message to anyone in the US.
