1) seek the assistance of a lawyer (personal injury)
2) your dad can apply for Social Security Disability (this takes months or years to actually get - for permanent injuries only )
3) if your family income is now $0 or close to that, go to Human/Social Services - there may be some help or medical or food assistance available for your family.

Hi!
Driving without insurance is illegal. Your Dad should consult with a lawyer who specializes in personal injury. A lot of lawyers work on a contingency basis and won't get paid until the case is won. Don't wait! Do it right away. Good luck!

IF you are in a no fault state and your dad had insurance, his insurance will pay and then it will be up to the insurance company yo sue the other driver. More than likely if the other driver did not have insurance the driver does not have much money so even if you sue you would probably never collect.

Do you mean the auto driver had no insurance ?
Neither did your dad ?
Although it would be illegal , at his point the 'horse is out of the barn' and there are no retro policies .
A neighbor was injured without insurance so the family had to pull together and do the physical therapy themselves .
Although he never walked again, they were successful in getting him use of his arms .
Our prayers are with you .

If you mean the party that caused the accident, had no insurance....you could probably sue them.
