Yes. I was driving home one day, and had a vision that looked like my car, slamming into the trailer of a semi truck, as the car approached a bridge. About five miles (and five minutes) later, I approached the first of three bridges on an old two lane country highway. The bridges were narrow, and the truck on the bridge would be off the bridge before I got there, so my first reaction was to keep on moving, at about 65-70 mph. I thought about the vision, and it occurred to me that it might have been showing me something....especially with the bridge being shown so clearly. To make a long story short, I hit the brakes hard, and decided not to worry about whether or not the truck driver thought I was crazy (because he would obviously have been off the bridge before I got there). He was in the center of the road, because his load was so wide. I stopped, and as he went by, I could then see the other truck, which was deat on his bumper. That other truck would have been on the bridge, as I went on to it, and there would have been no way of avoiding the obvious outcome.

So, I decided to check into shamanism (though I didn't know what it was called at the time). I decided that it mustn't have been my time to go (probably because I had a lot more work to do or something), and that maybe I even had something special to do. So I started studying shamanism, and now, twenty eight years later, I find myself quite comfortable in the spiritual/physical world.

I hope that helps you understand, that shamanism can be experienced by anyone, at any time. All that is necessary is the need. Of course, a person can continue to learn how to interface with their "inner being" as their life progresses, and some do become bonified "shamans." The are the true "spiritual leaders" of their communities, regardless of what the stiff collared religious leaders say.

Regards,

Chris

Some anthropologists and religion scholars define a shaman as an intermediary between the natural and spiritual world, who travels between worlds in a state of trance. Once in the spirit world, the shaman would commune with the spirits for assistance in healing, hunting or weather management. Ripinsky-Naxon describes shamans as, “People who have a strong interest in their surrounding environment and the society of which they are a part.”

Never with a shaman, but with other people in a semi-spiritual way, and there was sort of a "leader," so maybe.

No but I heard a rubber band, saw an old barn dance and a needle with two eyes.
Maybe I've had a shamanic experience, I dunno, because I dunno what one of them is. Do tell.
