Just once. The guy had a drinking problem and a hot temper. Good combination!.

I gave him notice he called me in and screamed at me, and said you know, this means you'll never work for this company again!.
I told him I was going to give him 2 weeks notice, but my irritable bowel syndrome was kicking up, and that usually means I have to take 2 weeks off, dr's orders. If you want me to make a miraculous recovery and be able to work the next two weeks, then STFU!

For the next two weeks, he was unusually polite to me, and I was polite to him. He got the message. I didn't want to put him in a bind.but I was tired of his crap.

I had the chance to f^(^%$( him royal but didn't. Before I left, HIS boss was in and to asked why i was leaving. I told him that. while I hate to leave & I enjoyed working for him, I just found a better offer elsewhere.

He later asked me why I ddn't open up to his boss. I replied, I'm outta here in a few days, and I have no reason to put the screws to you.

We parted on a handshake.

When I was in Jr High I was a dishwasher and the other guy I worked with was a major trouble maker. He talked me into quitting if someone said anything to us that was negative.
Then to make sure someone got mad, he went out to pick up some dishes wearing mirrored sunglasses and smoking a cigarette. BOOM! That did it, they said stop doing that and we both walked out on a Saturday night.
It was a terrible job anyway so it worked out.
