if you're seriuos, go to the ER.... don't take it out yourself..... if you can't drive yourself, call for an ambulance

You should go to the ER, because the sliver is in the vein.

If it is on the vein, use a clean tweezer and swab wound with alcohol or betadine. If you can't do it, get a determined friend.
If it is in the vein you should go to the ER.

eep. im sorry!! hope it doesnt hurt too much! if you're not squeamish about these things, try disinfecting and cleaning it with rubbing alcohol (yes, that probably will sting, but that just means it's working) (most likely at a local drug store) and then getting a pair of tweezers (after swabbing those with alcohol too) and just kind of pulling the splinter out. if its really big, the safest thing would be to go to the emergency room at the hospital and they will take care of it for you.

i went there one time because i got a huge splinter in my foot at the beach (it was driftwood) and went to the emergency room and they stitched me up pretty good. good luck!!
