Cat Stevens. I can't stand Michael Bolton. You know what my worst fear is? Michael Bolton and Kenny G releasing an album together!

Cat Stevens for sure.

Go watch the 1971 film "Harold and Maude" (if you haven't already--brilliant movie) and listen to the music throughout the movie. It's all Cat Stevens, yo! :D

Michael Bolton. Pshh.

gotta say, have never heard the National Anthem performed anywhere near as well as Michael Bolton sang it at the 1992 NBA All-Star game---it was awesome. That was Magic Johnson's (and Larry Bird's) last All-Star game---MJ was there. So was Sir Charles Barkley.

That said, I'll go with the songwriter versus the singer---Cat Stevens.

if Cat Stevens didn't turn against the US I would say him but since the only choices here are Bolton or him, I go with Michael Bolton
