Yes, it will cost you less in tuition the first two years of college in tuition compared to credits at a degree program with a four year university. The best advice I can give is work with a transfer advisor at the community college to select the best courses to take in order for them to transfer and meet graduation requirements instead of electives.

Yes, Either way you will take your basic classes. To do it at Community College will save you money. In addition you may change your major, a lot of people do.
