it has to do with the way it is made.
meat has to be rolled because it would be a lot harder to wrap it up in square shapes and keep it that way.
and when bread is baked it flattens the top and the bottom so it's kinda square-ish.
but you can get oval bread slices. there isnt only square bread

That would be because of the casings that are used in the manufacturing of the meats. Most deli meats start out as a "mush" that gets injected into a synthetic material casing that gets removed once the product has been fully cooked.

many is not- sainsburys and tescos both do the square types.
the reason it is round is to fool people into believing it is a more natural product- see cuts of meal, ever seen a pig with square legs? no, they are rounded so that when you take sliced of it it is rounded, take the fat off the edges and its even more curved. Fake meat is done to imitate this.
