Nice... you ask about roleplaying games, and (for the most part) you get people telling you about the computer games they've played.
Yes, some computer games CALL themselves "roleplaying" but aren't really that, at all.
Anyway, in answer to your question, yes, I have played RPGs, and still do. I've played Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, D&D, 1st Edition AD&D, 2nd Edition AD&D, Twilight: 2000, Paranoia, Vampire: The Masquerade and a few others here and there. I know it sounds like a lot, but since I've been gaming since the early 80s... I guess it adds up a bit.
Regarding what I play... I've played a variety of different character types over the years, and really can't say I've played one particular type exclusively. If I can say that I have had a preference, I would say that I've often played characters that are smart, stealthy and selective (in whether to attack a particular foe, what to take and what to leave behind, etc).
However, I've also played barbarian warriors, holy warriors and assassins, too.
Hope this helps. :)

Diablo 2 has been my favorite since it ever released. Course for a gaming console it would be Oblivion, but more about diablo:
Diablo 2 is an mmorg created by the makers of World of Warcraft (best rpg out there right now but monthly fee sucks) Diablo has 7 character classes, lots of skills to learn, tons of items to collect, bosses, uber bosses, player vs player, quests and subquests, a legit AND hacking server, and you can party up with players and take on quests together. Tons of diablo clones, but none can mimick diablo 2's greatness. AND FREE ONLINE PLAY only 20$ for the game. Check out the website:

My husband and I both play an on line game called Runescape. It cost about $5/month if you want to be a member, otherwise it's free. It's fun game and worth checking out if you like D&D.
It allows you to create a character and build on stats and gain xp.
Good luck and have fun gaming!

I like to play the new stuff they call RPG like The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Probably not a true RPG like yours, but I like the real time fighting and nice graphics, plus cool options. I like to enchant my armor and clothing so I can wear about whatever I want, and still be shielded. There are so many options for your own personal character. Morrowind is also pretty cool.

When I was in high school, I used to play one with some guys that I hung out with called "Vampire the Masquerade." It was pretty cool. Of course, that was about 10 years ago or more, but anyways...
