Is it a good idea to get married just to save 200 dollars on car insurance, plus get fininacial aid through college, and any tax refunds at the end of the year because of claiming married? Is there any other things that you can save on because of marriage? We are currently engaged and will get married someday, but i think we should we should do a sort of a fake marragie for now to save on money.

A fake marriage, so how committed are you? How real is your love? Get a grant for school. Those aren't good reasons to get married, fake or not.

No...not a good idea! A fake marriage? Don't think Uncle Sam would take kindly to that. Anyway you said that you were engaged and going to get married someday so if you want to save money then why don't you just go ahead and get married now? Do it legally...think you would make things a lot simpler for yourselves...and just think you could live in a normal house and not behind bars should you get found out.

Not so sure about it being a good deal to marry for this reason, I do see where you said someday you were. I sure wouldn't try faking anything with the IRS. She will be seeing you thru bars.lol

If your going to get married to save money, your getting a divorce and that will cost you money, so you figure it out. The way you think, you will never be wealthy.

Why bring dishonesty of any kind into a relationship just to save a couple bucks?
That doesn't say very much about your ethics.
