I find it so hard to be myself around guys?

Of course I warm up once I get to know them, but I always think "Am I saying the right thing?" "Do I look okay?" .. etc. What should I do? Do guys even care?

I know, because I often do the same thing. it's hard to be around guys sometimes not knowing if you have something on your pants, or something in your teeth, or your hair is messy. Guys (amazingly enough) want you to be yourself, and want to be with someone who they like not who they think you are. Don't trick them. Be yourself!

Yes guys care. Guys care about how to act around you. They want to be cool and appealing. Thank God you are not a guy and have to step up to rejection so often. We are the lucky ones Kiddo. Remember, those guys don't know what you think or feel. Just don't stick your boobs out (or whatever) and look feminine or oh so sexy. You don't have to do a thing. Man is the Mighty Hunter!!! Hear them?? Those are hormones!! Rejoice in your Youth (and don't give anything away.) First only happens once. Be strong. I know they make your blood flow but stay steady. What do you imagine that is that makes you clear out your self? that is a large deal in a courting even if you would possibly want to be your self around the guy or no longer, in the different case what's the point? He gained't be as perfect for you as you imagine- i'm gonna quote he's in simple terms no longer That Into You and say, "do not waste the surprising!"

I once read that shyness was paying too much attention to oneself. Bearing this in mind,try not to take yourself so serious. Confidence is probably one of the sexiest attributes one can have. Confident that you look just fine,everybody likes different types,if there is a good rapport with your date than he will tell you if you have spinach in your teeth. Just look at your dates as a coming together of two old friends,relaxed,calm and carefree. Get out of your head and find out what you have in common. Most importantly,laugh at yourself no matter what he thinks because you have to live with your own individuality.LOL

i totally can relate to what you're talking about. i always freeze up around guys that i dont really know that well, but im okay around guys that ive known for a while. i guess my advice would be the common: just be yourself. sometimes it helps to make a conscious effort not to care about whether you are saying the right thing or not because it radiates sincerity and confidence.

I feel the exact same thing! when im around some guy i like im always asking myself in my head; is there a booger in my nose! omg, i hope my hair looks okay! eek! i feel like im going to sneeze. what do i do? what your suppposed to do is just be yourself even though its hard to sometimes (you want to look cool in front of boys). So just make them laugh, have great jokes, and be cool and be yourself at the same time. I dont think guys really care that much they just want to talk you know.

From a girl's point of view, I wonder the same thing! We shouldn't worry about this stuff though, either he likes you for you or he doesn't. Why go out with someone that only likes you for who you pretend to be? If you end up in a serious relationship with this person, you will be pretending for the rest of your life!! Just be yourself, don't worry.

Be yourself cuz we guys only pay attention to those things if we are checking out girls. Otherwise we don't care. I find it hard to be around girls.

As you get older you learn that if someone does not like you for who you are.....WHO CARES!! Just be yourself and don't worry about it. If they don't like you for who you are then you don't need them.
