Crying is in no way a weakness. It is an honest expression of one's feelings and these are not weaknesses. To cry involves a certain amount of sensitivity not only of their situation, but of the people they are involved in the situation with.
To cry proves to the world that one is not as hard as one tries to portray themselves to be.
To cry proves to the world that one is human and caring.

It is my belief that the body becomes so overwhelmed with emotion that it can no longer contain it...therefore the body weeps. In a sense of the word it may mean Yes, crying may very well be a weakness.

Needless to say, this has been a very interesting question.

No it's not a weakness, but I know what you mean. Until I went through psychotherapy I cried at every little thing. After I cried and cried out all my repressed sadness and anger I only rarely cry now - I cry about injustices and poverty when I see it on TV but I rarely cry about personal things any more.

It's only a weakness when women cry. When men cry it is a revelation of sensitivity. Ask any man who's been caught at it.

I KNOW it's not!! Crying is a release and nothing less. The more sensitive you are, the more you can tap into those emotions. Sad movies are great for that. Men cry. Believe me, they do.

Depends. Is crying an escape from the world for you? If so, than yes, it is. Do you only cry as an expression of your feelings? If so, than no, that makes you strong.

Not at all, usually. I've cried for happy reasons too.
You question reminds me of a phrase... "Never mistake kindness for weakness"
