You need to just think logically about this problem. If the sale price of the shirt is 39.20 that means the sale price can be written as (1 - .3)*original price = sale price. Or .7*x = 39.20. I leave the simple task of division to you.

$18 for 40% off. $17.20 for 10% off 40% off $15.00 for fifty% off And the rationalization the keep did not promote it at 50% off is because A) you get a more advantageous positive take care of 50% off B) they are trying to push clearance through providing 10% off c) they in simple terms have an usual sale of 10%, which include clearance, or you've a discount i found those numbers through taking 30 circumstances .4 (or 40%) after which subtracting that variety from the unique value. the rationalization 50% is different from 10% off 40% off is because taking 10% off a smaller variety produces a smaller variety to take off from the unique value. so that you are able to't extremely upload percents.
