Condi-sleeza is claiming executive privilege in order to avoid testifying. If she is forced to testify, if will end her credibility politically because she either has to take the 5th, say she can't recall, or tell the truth and admit to the lies. Any one will be political suicide.
Plus she is going to do what her man Bush says.

Some suggest that Bush is using her non-compliance to test the waters of a constitutional crisis, creating a legal precedent throught the Supreme court that would make it impossible for Congress to subpeona members of the Executive Branch--courtesy of his lapdog appointees. Many facts concerning the yellow-cake lies were not discussed in her previous testimony--let's just see how explains the lies this time around.

Same reason any of Bushs people are afraid. If they testify under oath they might get caught out for lying and then the Democrat controlled Congress will crucify them. Rightfully so.

Go back and look at how she was raked over the coals by the Democrats---and some Republicans---after the president announced his plan for the surge in January, and you'll have your answer.

Not afraid she already has. Just read the transcript from her confirmation hearing to be Secretary of State. She answered plenty of questions on this Niger issue.

Oh thats right the dems do not want to investigate or get answers they want a show on tv.

ADD: She was National Security advisor at the time and thus was not nor required approval from the Senate and the long standing tradition (which Dems love to trample) does not have Presidential advisors testifying before Congress whenever they wish it. Its not a matter of hiding anything.

She is afraid to tell the truth as more scandal will come out of that truth. She may be waiting until after Jan. 20, 2009 to write a tell all book that will expose the inner workings of the most incompetent, most corrupt adminstration in the history of the US Presidency.

She's been before them once, it wasnt required, and she said she would answer on paper again.

You got proof of wrong doing? If you do, get right on it and make you case.

Would you voluntarily go as a suspect to the Salem Witch Trials?

How do you know she's afraid? As long as we're on the topic of an hostile audience, why won't any of the current Democratic front-runners perform for anyone but a friendly audience?

Because she's as dirty as the rest of them. She doesn't want to get involved with anything because she knows that no matter what she says....she will end up incriminating herself.
