Most of the time, when you stare what is your purpose of doing it. I am just curious. We all know, that people stare at things that interest them or things that repulse them, but why do people continue to do it when they know that it embarasses the person being stared at. I personally get VERY uncomfortable when I am stared at and it makes me seriously feel that there is something wrong, but I know that there is not a booger hanging out my nose or something, lol.

Maybe they heard a nasty rumor about you or they are trying to intimidate you.
It is a sign of aggression in the animal kingdom.
My solution is to nonchalantly touch my face or wherever they are staring with my middle finger like i have a sudden itch or am thinking and dont stop until they look away - which is usually sooner than if i did nothing at all.

Staring can be interpreted as being either hostile, or the result of intense concentration. Staring behaviour can be considered a form of aggression, or an invasion of an individual's privacy.You also stare when you are really tired.

LOL. I don't know.. One glance is enough, don't you think? The same happens to me too. I get people staring at me as if i just walked out of their parents bedroom with his or her mom's nighties on. It's crazy. They stare at just about anything, whether they like that or not.

i usually just dont move my eyes or set them on anything at random and people think that i´m staring at them but im not, im waaaay too far in my mind.
i also like to look at people that´s doing something, like cutting grass or something, coz it´s relaxing. but i only do it when im on a car and someone else is driving.

I stare at people long enough for them to see me give them a really dirty look. Then I go back to my regularly scheduled day.

Sometimes, even I, will gaze at something...lose train of thought and forget to turn back away. And, then, sometimes I look too long and it turns into a stare while my mind goes on and on.........I know it is impolite...sorry!

other than the booga you most have something that people want to keep staring at.you either have a j-lo butty or you just look repulsive.you know the answer to this question.... no pun intended.... =}

I star interesting questions that I want to check later. Problem is, I never remember I star them. It really is a waste of time.
