Our borders are from secure, they provide as much safty for Americans as the FDA does for our pet food!

We have not been attacked sence 9/11, Osoma has gotten what he wanted, and that was our troops out of Saudi Arabia.

So with bush giving into terrorist demands.

Is Terrorism really still a threat.

Dont say because we are fighting them in Iraq, trust me I am sure if they wanted to badly enough 11 or 12 of them can sneak into the U.S. No matter what country they are "Hiding in" if they really wanted to.

I am a bit confused by a few statements like Bush giving into demands.

Osama wanted to use an army supplied by other Arabs to kick the Iraqis out of Kuwait. I realize that is nuts but I suppose he envisioned himself as some great military genius that trounced the Soviets. The fact that he thought he could fight the US is a pretty good indication of the delusion. I don't see him as significantly different from any of the other deluded man men with similar aims. He does have a group of fanatics that would commit suicide but so did Japan. The difference my be that his hatred doesn't have any bounds. He wants to kill you because you are you. In Japan it was to defend Japan and the emperor. As long as any of those nut jobs are alive, and capable, there is a threat. There is nothing harder to stop than someone who doesn't care about his own life.

Unfortunately, terrorism will always be a threat! Particularly since the terrorists get so much press and generate so much fear in the countries with a high level of personal freedom. Isn't that what they want? Fear? Unfortunately we're good at having that.

Oops, time to get back into my basement, roll up into a fetal position, suck my thumb and wait for Armagedon (or something?) to come!

our borders are not secure.

We have not been attacked since 9-11 because we are fighting the fight over there. I know you don't want to hear this, but it is true.

Bush is not giving into terrorist demands. I want to find out what you have been smoking. Bush has been keeping our troops overseas, FIGHTING the terrorists.

Unless they demand that we try to overthrow them and kill as many of them as possible, I would not call this 'giving in to terrorist demands'

If they did want badly enough, 11 or 12 of them COULD come over here, I'm sure. But seeing as they can kill americans by strapping bombs to their chests and NOT trying to get through airport security, I dont see why they would try coming over here.

Terrorism is only a threat if we turn tail and leave the middle east.

Then we cannot fight them there

And they will bring the fight to our doorstep

And they WILL
they are not peaceful

Yes. And it always WILL BE, -as long as there are unhappy people around us. We could become a Police State- & still be afflicted by terrorism. Iraq has NOTHING to do with the issue (unless you want to bring up the fact that we're probably creating MORE terrorists by our being there). Even if we closed all our borders tomorrow, we would still have the "home-grown" variety- like Timmothy McVey to deal with. Unfortunately- terrorism is a part of the Human "Condition". :(

Terrorism was a threat during the Dark Ages.

Terrorism was a threat during the Revolutionary War.

Terrorism was a threat during the American and Indian Wars.

Terrorism was and will always be a threat.

Sheila Jackson Lee made a daft evaluation. there is not any energetic Christian terrorism. truly there is not any proportionate evaluation to Muslim extremism which numbers interior the tens of millions. how a lot of human beings are worried about Christians boarding planes? once back, the evaluation is ridiculous and downright insulting.

Terrorism is always a threat, always was, and always will be.

As long as their are bullies who are too powerful to be taken on directly, they'll be people who are willing to give up their lives to try to illustrate how much they're hurting others.

I think it's a great threat... and I think Osama is a major key... I mean, just the number of attacks he's pulled off compared to other terrorist organizations...

it wouldn't end it, but I think it would put a crimp in the threat...
