These are the same principles I go by for my own, and the same I am teaching everybody. Always look to the positive. There is a positive in every situation, even the bad ones. They are learning experiences. Look to how you handle a bad situation, and learn from how you acted, and see how you can turn the negative into a positive next time. Every situation helps us to evolve, so every situation is good. Life is not worth wasting any moment on depression. I did for far too long, and I'll never do it again! But I don't regret my past, it has made me who I am, and I have learned a great deal about life from the way
I used to be. You can overcome anything. Nothing can stop you from enjoying life.

This is a little awkward coming from the queen of pessimism, but I'll try!
-To think positively, I'd imagine you would have to replace your old thoughts with more positive ones. For example, turn "I will never do well in English" to "I didn't do so good on one project, but I can always improve next time." There is ways to turn almost every negative statement into a more uplifting one. Just try it.
-How to attract people. This is a tough one. This sounds like an easy answer, but you have to be just have a genuine concern and interest in people. Ask them questions, pay them a compliment (if it sincere) and take small risks.
-Think about what aspects of your mental life you would like to change.. Stress relief? Less inhibited? Etc.? You can go to a bookstore/library/or online to gather information about coping techniques. This is also hard, but like everything, you have to actually want to change. Just keep practicing.

It can be hard to think positive sometimes, especially when the news we hear about everyday is bad news! Just remember the is only ONE you! Attracting people is easy, just be yourself and treat everyone the way you'd like to be treated. Try to find positive thinking in your everyday life....when you become negative (whether it is thinking negative or doing negative) always come back with something positive. You will benefit not only socially but mentally and physically. Also, if need be, find some books or web pages that help you become a more positive person.
