well, I do see your point... and I'm a liberal...
but to be just a little fair... I see many liberals complain about Repulbilcans too...
but, granted, they go a little crazy with the whole "liberal bashing" if you ask me...

Of course not! Absolute power corrupts absolutely. That's why it's a -good- thing for Congress to change hands every few years (even though the country may be for the worse during those years, in the eyes of the observer).
The Republicans got corrupted with their control of Congress, and money got wasted. The 2006 election was a wake-up call for the Republicans to get their act together and return to Conservatism.
We complain about the Democrats because while their ideas may sound "nice" but if you look at history and common sense, they just don't work, or are contradictory.
Yes, the two-party system does offer the necessary checks and balances, although a third would be nice (c'mon Libertarians!) to give the views of more than just a "half" of the country.
No, I wouldn't trust the government under a one-party system. That is tyranny and despotism, the exact thing our forefathers fought to free ourselves from in the late 16th century.

Uh, I hate to say it, but one party HAS run amok.
That's largely because there haven't been two distinct parties for quite some time now.
But you seem to be expecting reason from the "kill all dems" crowd; you're barking up the wrong tree.
They have no respect for reason.
That's why they've been calling for our heads all this time.
Actually, civilized countries have MORE than two viable parties.
Of course, there are more than two here; it's just rare that the others get any attention or votes.
I can't help wondering if the Bushies have done in the Republican party, though.
The conservatives with IQs greater than their shoe sizes have been bailing -- mostly going to the Libertarian party, I believe.

certain that is a form of democracy, the final public comes to a decision, yet no longer the perfect style. If I had my way, shall we be utilizing 4 votes each and each and every at each and every election: social gathering A OR B; B OR C; A OR C; perfect different. And on the subsequent election, the perfect different winner replaces the worst performing of the three as a important candidate. you've not appeared at community nor nationwide election outcomes in case you've faith the Lib Dems do not get a compulsory share of the votes interior the united kingdom at presnt (basically in a tiny minority of constituencies do they nevertheless get lower than 20% of the vote)! and that i welcome the convergence, I see it as a realisation procedure from all activities that basically certain ideas, proposals and thoughts are politically, economically, and the international over manageable - the significant activities might want to be similar even as in authorities, as they couldn't discover the money for to disregard the regularly occurring classes of heritage - and too drastic replace even as a clean social gathering is geared up in leads to many years of progression being esponged away. I basically want it grow to be a lot less complicated to % out the ameliorations of their music files and of their proposals, come election time, without needing to position self belief in the BBC or take Rupert Murdock's observe for it (and that my above idea beneficial properties loads of help).

When the motives of one party are pushed through via emotional blackmail of the people, there is reason to balk in frustration.
The problem is the true nature of those posing as one or the other.

a one party system is not a system, neither party is the answer and third party would not help. the system is broken. politicians gone wild, no honesty, no integrity, no trust, no accountability, only power hungry greed. both sides are guilty

We need more than two parties, because the two we have are going to destroy the country in time.
