No. Why would I want to air my dirty laundry in front of millions of people? They always make everyone look so stupid for even being there.

probably, and especially if I might lose money in the case considering that in the ones I've seen:

1) the money that is awarded is part of a total that is put up by the studio, and

2) no one, not even the loser, gives up any money from their own pocket.

Also remember that after obtaining a judgement against a defendant you have to collect that money, and often this is harder than bring a suit to court, when the defendant is trying to hide their assets from you, signing everything over to their kids, transferring their money offshore, or buying gold and burying it in the back yard. If you get the money from the studio, then it's gotta be easier to collect..
