That sounds horrible! I hate being confined, and I hate being tickled. But if your into that sort of thing, then I would think the most ticklish areas would be the back of your neck, your sides, your lower back, thighs, and the soles of your feet.

What is it like to be tied up and tickled? It really depends on several factors.
Is the tickling consensual or non-consensual?
Is the tickler concerned with keeping it fun for you or is the tickler only seeking self-pleasure?
How comfortable are the restraints?
Is the tickler digging in too deeply when tickling you or is the tickling relatively gentle?
Did the tickler file their fingernails to make them smooth or are they sharp (Which may cause some pain)?
Is the tickler somebody that you trust?

In an ideal tickling encounter, the tickling is consensual and the tickler will always respect the feelings, desires, concerns, limits, and comfort level of the person they are tickling. The tickler will strive to keep it fun and safe for both parties - not just themselves. The tickler will file their fingernails so that they do not scratch or hurt you. The tickler will give you frequent air breaks and cut back on them as you develop a high level of trust with them.

I would recommend wearing something to the effect of a two-piece bathing suit or equivalent. Perhaps a sports bra and shorts for your first time. I personally find that less clothing is best. One of the reasons for this is because people tend to tickle harder when tickling through clothing and softer on direct skin. Another reason is because you will feel more vulnerable with more skin exposed but you will also find the experience much more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Most people find that they are most ticklish on their feet, armpits, neck, ears and thighs. They can also be very ticklish on their stomach and sides, too.

As long as you trust the person who will be tickling you and you both agree on ground rules before the encounter, I say go for it. It will be a lot of fun. You should discuss the use of safe words (i.e. mercy, red light, air break) because you will likely say "no" or "stop" more frequently than you mean it when you are just getting started. You should also decide on a time limit in advance with the option of extending it. I would recommend a minimum of 30 minutes to 60 minutes so that you have enough time to develop a full trust with the person who is tickling you as well as developing a full trust within yourself that playful tickling can be incredibly fun and rewarding.

One other healthful side effect: As you are laughing, your brain will flood your body with healthful endorphins which promote healing and reduce stress.

Go for it! Life is too short. I think it tickles more if you don't anticipate it so try it unshackled, too. I don't think it matters what you wear. Also take your turn tickling the other person to share the joy. It will be more fun. For most people, it tickles most under the armpits, on the soles of their feet, their sides, back of the neck and knees. Have a ticklish, devilish old time!

It depends on how you cope with tickling in general. If you can deal with being helpless, then being tied up should be a pretty fun thing to try. Sometimes being tied up makes things easier as you can let yourself go, instead of concentrating on keeping still.

It tickles more if your ticklish spots are exposed, so avoiding bulky clothes makes sense. You need to do what feels most comfortable to you.

For me it is torture to be tickled under my arms...especially if they are tied up above my head. My feet can be torturous too.

If you aren't a little scared the first time you are tied and tickle, then you aren't normal. If you really want to do it, you are going to do it. Good luck.
