Isn't it alittle "late" to ask him? Most of us hardly knew the guy- let alone know the answer to that question for ourselves. Read his works, see what he said- and then get back to us & let us know what he said. I'm sure lots of people here- would like to know. :)

Descartes would have made some valid points regarding the worth and value of life. He would have invoked the presence of god. And then he would have gone off on some strange, half-thought out tirade regarding the "soul residing in the pineal gland" or some such nonsense.
