I'm a boy and in Middle School. What should I wear to a semi-fromal dance?

If it's semi formal, I'd wear maybe a nice pair of jeans, dress shoes and a striped button down top. I think that would look snazzy.

Normally semi-formal for a boy means dress slacks and a nice shirt and tie. However, in middle school it is a little different. You don't want to be too dressed up in case the other boys aren't. Just wear slacks and something better than a t-shirt and you will be OK.

I'd go khakis with a polo shirt & nicer shoes.
Either that, or black dress pants & shoes W./ a cool looking button down shirt!
This is gonna sound weird, but check what the girls are wearing. If they're wearing floor length gowns go w./ option 2
If they're going withe something shorter & more casual, go w./ the 1st option

wear dark wash jeans. make sure they fit you right. when you sit down, and they come up to your angles. chuck them. no one wants to see your socks. don't wear them too baggy and not to tight. http://shop.nordstrom.com/C/2379942/0~2376777~2374609~789693~2379942
wear a shirt. just a regular logo shirt. black or any dark colors would be good. and make sure the shirt fits your right too. if it flares out at the bottom, then you will look ridiculous.

and for shoes, you should wear flat shoes. not those high sports shoes from nike, but nice.

if you want to go push it a little more, wear some cologne. i love lacoste and polo best:)
