fun to do in Virginia, or the tri-state area, besides amusement parks?

How much time to you have ??? A lifetime would not be enough!!!!!
I will list them:
1.ALL the Smitsonian Museams...there are MANY....each take a FULL day!
2. Mount Vernon
3. Georgetown!!
4. Williamsburg....down south a bit from the D.C. metro area.
5. Fredericksburg....Civil War
6. U.S.N.A.....i/2 hour from D.C.....aTOTAL must. My beloved brother graduated,'65!!!!!!! GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!!
7. QUANTICO.........a few GOOD,REAL good men. Semper Fi.
8. Arlington Cememtery....a MUST see. The Changing of The Guard will amaze you. I cry whenever I see it. A tram takes you through....MUCH to see....fascinating. Includes Lee-Custis Mansion....wonderful trip!!
MUCH, MUCH more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tons of historical places, scenery, fishing (some of the best trout fishing in the US) pheasant hunting, cave exploring and lots more. Forget amusement parks. The mountains are breath taking, especially in the Fall.

Baltimore Inner Harbor, and Aqaurium is great, the have a submarine you can go in, a Hard Rock Cafe, and the biggest ESPN zone around, all in a 1 block radius, pretty cool Chrissy!
